Thanks to our Colorado Legislators, the schedule has been a mess. The new requirement for permit renewals has increased the number of people requiring training. Local fire bans have added to the problem.
Starting August 1, 2026 there is an additional training requirement for to purchase specified semi-automatic firearms. This course will be added in the near future.
I believe that I finally have a grip on my schedule.
New Permits
You will need the new permit class if you don’t currently have a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit or if your permit has been expired for more than six months.
I will offer the course for new permits on the third Friday of each month. Please use the form below to select your course date. There won’t be a course in December.
NOTE: If you have five or more students and would like to do a weekend class, please contact me directly using the information at the bottom of this page.
Renewal (Refresher Course) Permits
You can renew your permit up to 120 days prior to its expiration date and within six months of the expiration date of your permit. Please be aware there are some late fees, and your permit is not valid after its expiration date.
For the renewal classes, I can always squeeze you in if you are willing to spend the time during the weekdays. If you have particular days off during the week, or you have partial days free, let me know, and I will make it happen. I want to make sure everyone can get their renewals done without stressing about the dates. I am more than happy to do a one-on-one class to make sure you can keep your permit current.
In general, renewal courses run from 1pm – 3:30pm. I can be flexible, though. It’s important to get your renewals done.
